1) How does Rashford use different aspects of mise-en-scene (e.g. clothes/costume) to create very different representations of himself on his own website?

On His website he is seen wearing expensive clothes from well known brands. This shows that he is successful. As well as the colours of his clothes. His black suit shows him as powerful as well as showing him as a completely different person and not just a footballer. This is because he doesn't want us to view him as just a footballer.

2) What representations of football or footballers can you find in Marcus Rashford's online presence? Does it reinforce or subvert traditional stereotypes of footballers?

Marcus Rashford subvert traditional stereotypes of footballers by not only using his platform to just promote his football career. He uses it as a way to help the 45% of Black/other ethnicity who struggle with poverty. He also uses his website to promote his books. This encourages young boys to read as well as play football. He does this because he knows most of his fan base are children who look up to his behaviours.

Marcus Rashford challenge gender stereotypes by showing that men can aslo struggle and face hard times. He does this by sharing his story back when he was poor living with a single mother with 5 children. He also reinforce it by writing his own book showing that footballers can also have other hobbies outside of football.

5) What representations of race/ethnicity can you find in his website or social media? Does this reinforce or challenge media stereotypes?

Marcus Rashford is one of the first black British to reach a successful football career while coming from a poor family. His videos are all about encouraging kids in poverty to stick to their goals as it is possible. This challenge media stereotype as most footballers seen on TV are often white. For Marcus Rashoford to be one of the first is very big achievement.
