1) What are BLACKPINK fans known as - and what would the demographics / psychographics be for the BLACKPINK audience?
The demographics for the BLACKPINK audience would be a typical age of 12-19 mostly young teens would listen to there music.The psychographics for the BLACKPINK audience would be teenage to adult women, as dance, singing and the image of the band are all targeted towards girls who are teenagers or young adults.
 
2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for How You Like That?
The audience may receive a thrill from watching the choreographed dance and the performance of the song. They may also receive an experience of feeling involved with the group through watching their performance and may establish a personal connection due to this.

3) Pick out three particular shots, scenes or moments in the video that would particularly appeal to BLACKPINK fans. Why did you choose those moments? 
0.42 push in camera movement: Appeals most to  BLACKPINK fans because that's when the beat drops and "how you like that" is first said and the choreography is first introduced. It's the most replayed scene in the music video.
1.12: Its a solo scene by Lisa- most favourited band member by most BLACKPINK fans.
2.26: All band members and extra members do the choreography in that scene.

4) How was the How You Like That music video marketed and promoted to the audience?
The video’s release was preceded by a series of teasers on the band’s social media accounts including posters, photos focusing on individual band members and videos

5) Why is K-pop a global phenomenon and what has helped it to become so popular?
K-pop has become a cultural sensation as groups like BLACKPINK and BTS enjoyed global success. This has also resulted in Korean culture becoming mainstream in the West also there are many different styles of bands and solo artists who dominate the industry as well as the industry in other countries, using a range of different people and characters.

1) How were BLACKPINK formed and what records have they broken?
 In 2016, BLACKPINK were formed by YG Entertainment. The records they have broken include being the most followed girl group on Spotify and the most subscribed music group and female act on YouTube as of 2021.

3) How has technology and the internet (known as technological convergence) changed the way audiences consume music videos?
changed the way audiences consume music videos. With an increased popularity of social media, music videos and music artists have become much more popular on platforms such as YouTube and Spotify, while their fandoms and audiences interact with them and follow them more closely on platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.

4) How do BLACKPINK and K-pop show that the media and music industries are now global?
K-pop demonstrates the global nature of the industry with BLACKPINK selling out arenas across the UK and USA as well as in the East. They played Wembley Arena in 2019 as well as huge US music festival Coachella. 

5) How are UK-based music videos regulated and what types of content require warnings? 
Some UK-based record companies get their music videos rated by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The kinds of issues the BBFC considers in classifying music videos include bad language, dangerous behaviour presented as safe, drug misuse, sexual behaviour and nudity, and threatening behaviour and violence.

 The Guardian's writer claims that the band brings "their A-game" and are incredibly good at what they do. They are seen to have a repeat of BTS's boundary-breaking success and rack up lots of achievements that may have otherwise been impossible to achieve.

Read this Variety feature on a controversy that offended some global fans of BLACKPINK. What was the problem and how did they respond?
 Mentioned was that a Hindu deity, Ganesha, was presented in the background of one of the scenes. Despite being edited out, fans had still demanded an apology from the band. Many fans, particularly those in India, claimed that Blackpink had disrespected the religion by using the deity as a prop and culturally appropriating it. YG Entertainment did not respond besides editing out the image of the Hindu god.

 Promoted the release of the song on their social media, such as posters, trailers and photos of the band members. A dance video was also released, which gained 600 million views on YouTube, and a reality show was posted on YouTube, 24/365 with Blackpink.
